Carine Letessier is one of those designers inspired by curiosity and the unexpected. Traveler by nature and passion, Carine likes to bring those objects, artifacts, emotions back from all over the world. The Carine Letessier blog is a collection of objects either selected or designed and assembled by her in her workshop on Melrose place in Los Angeles or her Soho atelier in Manhattan. She likes to produce her designs locally, mainly in New York where she enjoys working with a team of young and dedicated crafts people. Carine Letessier est une designeuse inspirée par sa curiosité pour l'insolite et ses voyages dans le monde. De ses voyages elle ramene des objets, des émotions, des idées, des formes et des couleurs. Dans son atelier de Melrose place a Los Angeles ou dans son loft de Soho a Manhattan, Carine conçoit des œuvres composées de tapis rares et anciens qu'elle chine aux 4 coins du monde, des sacs a base de textiles militaires "vintage" recyclés et de cuirs précieux. Elle développe aussi des projets avec de jeunes designers locaux. Elle produit la majeure partie de ses créations a New York, avec une équipe de jeunes artisans extrêmement talentueux. ENK ACCESSORIES CIRCUIT SHOW opens on sunday. I had to get both, the Montauk collection AND the Macaron collection ready in time. Macaron is more of a winter collection because I chose to combine materials such as cashmere, mohair, wool, silk and wool and leather together. Not to forget the scarf!!! Which I am now having manufactured based on sublime custom designs by my dear artists friends Natacha Horn and Véronique Pettit- Laforet.

The ENK ACCESSORIES CIRCUIT SHOW opens the show season for Carine Letessier Design, next is going to be Tokyo (IFF), then Paris ( TRANOI) and Las Vegas. Anxious I am, also because, besides my Montauk and Macaron bags, I have created a bunch of various formats and this is going to be my day of reckoning, so to speak!… :+)

Oh! And I have to explain you why I named my Fall/Winter collection: MACARON!! Have a look at the above picture and I will explain in my next posting.
